Discover Belgium's
cycling tradition
on and off the bike

The Flandrien Academy was founded in 2015 by Pieter Van De Veire and Michiel Meire, two true blood Belgian Flandriens. Cycling is what brought and keeps them together since their boyhood.

Who are we
Pieter and Michiel rode a sizeable part of the 2014 Tour de France stage that started in Belgium and took the riders onto the cobbles of Northern France

Pieter runs his own event company for 5 years now and he is actively involved in the organization of numerous professional races, including Flanders Classics, running VIP facilities, guaranteeing sponsor visibility, etc… He knows the Belgian cycling scene very well and in his network there are pro riders, professional mechanics and soigneurs, international cycling journalists and photographers, race sponsors,… This extensive network is a true asset to the Academy as it helps to open certain doors that would otherwise stay closed.

Michiel spent 5 years of his life in Singapore and has extensive experience in international Sales, Marketing and Communication. During his business trips Michiel visited probably half of Asia’s bike shops! He cycled in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. He has traveled with various international cycling tour operators and knows very well what travelling cyclists need and expect. Through his adventures he built up his network with die hard riders from various countries, clubs and teams.

The combination of their experience, capabilities and networks makes a good basis for creating unforgettable experiences.
